Just finished another week of focused GMAT prep and wanted to share a few practical lessons: 1) Quant Timing: I started timing individual problem types separately — it helped me spot where I’m slow and target practice.
2) Verbal Efficiency: For CR and RC, I now note down keywords and summarize each paragraph in 4-5 words — it drastically reduces rereading.
3) Mistake Review: Instead of just noting mistakes, I now write a “why I got it wrong” sentence for each question. It sticks better.
4) Mental Fatigue Reflection : I noticed my accuracy drops significantly after 90 minutes of continuous practice, even if I’m confident.
Solution: short, focused sessions with breaks, and prioritizing the toughest questions first.
5) Verbal Hack That Saved Me Time : During Verbal practice this week, I started eliminating answer options I’m confident are wrong before deciding on the right one.
[*]This technique saves time and reduces overthinking.
[*]Learned it from a GMAT Ninja Club YouTube video and it worked well.
