BackgroundFor context, I have a background in Computer Science and Software Engineering. I grew up in the U.S. so I had taken standardized tests before, but the GMAT was a lot more challenging for me. However, my technical background did help make the quant a little easier
My First GMATI took the GMAT in December of 2023 initially. This was when the GMAT Focus first came out, so there was not a lot of information on it publicly. I decided to use the GMAT Club Question Bank for the majority of my studying + the OG guides + practice tests. I spent about 3 months studying for the GMAT and eventually scored a 655 (Q83, V85, D81).
Using TTPI decided to use TTP because of all of the reviews I saw on Reddit and GMATClub. I also saw Scott and Marty regularly on these forums, answering peoples' questions so I took that as a positive sign. I initially signed up for the free trial but decided to commit to TTP once I saw the effectiveness of the course. Because I had already studied for the GMAT earlier, I knew a lot of the concepts but really had to drill in on accuracy and on improving timing.
For this reason, I mostly focused on the Chapter Tests. I spent about two weeks on the actual coursework but decided to spend the rest of my time with the chapter tests. I would attribute these chapter tests as a big part of my success on the GMAT. The coursework itself is really good for people who need to better understand a concept, so for anyone who is starting from scratch, I'd strongly recommend TTP.
I used TTP for two months to get through the Chapter Tests + coursework. One of my favorite things about the course was how responsive their tutors are. They answered any questions I had within hours and would follow up if I had any doubts/questions.
Retaking the GMATI retook the GMAT on 08/19/2025 and scored a 715! I was very excited about my score and can't thank TTP enough for the help. My score breakdown is as follows: Q86, V86, DI85.
