I started my GMAT prep around
2–3 months ago, balancing it with work/university. My goal was
a 650+.
Here’s what I used:
- Official GMAT Prep materials (FE) for question familiarity
- GMAT Club Quant & Verbal questions for daily practice
- YouTube lessons for weak topics (mainly Data Sufficiency and Critical Reasoning)
I didn’t have a strict study plan — I was mostly doing random sets rather than structured topic-wise revision, which I now realize was a mistake.

🧮 Section Performance:
Quantitative Reasoning: Felt easier in the first 10 questions but progressively tricky with Data Sufficiency. I got stuck on a few time traps. I need to improve pacing — I ran out of time on the last 3 questions.
Verbal Reasoning: My RC performance was decent, but I lost accuracy in CR when under time pressure.
Data Insights: This section was totally new for me. I practiced some sets but underestimated how much time visualization (charts, tables) would take. I panicked a bit on a few integrated reasoning-style questions.
