Hi everyone,
I’m trying to understand the downside risk in GMAT Focus Quant scoring.

I’m trying to understand the downside risk in GMAT Focus Quant scoring.
Scenario:
- Total Quant questions: 21
- Correct answers: 13
- Wrong answers: 8
- Breakdown of mistakes:
- 2 wrong in first 5
- 5 wrong in first 10
- Total 8 wrong overall
I know GMAT Focus is adaptive, so I’m specifically trying to understand:
- How heavily early mistakes are penalized
- Whether 13 correct can still stay around Q78–80, or if it can drop much lower, I got the score I want to know how much you guys expect it to be.

Early mistakes comes with heavy score penalty
You can easily see drop in score at least 15-20 points.. you can simulate on free mock and check..
