Hi everyone,
I faced a massive difference between my quant score on the actual exam & official mocks (even the latest GMAT Club mocks) and was hoping someone could help me explain this.
I received a
73 in my actual exam with
7 incorrect questions & and was consistently at 78-79 in my mocks with as many as
9 incorrect questions.
I understand that the algorithm scores based on not just on correct answers but also on the difficulty of questions. This makes sense since I found the level of questions to be very easy towards the end of the section.
However, I don't seem to have gotten many incorrect questions in a row - it feels like I never got a chance to prove myself on too many of the harder questions.
Looking at the pattern of incorrect questions, does anyone know why I could have faced such a drastic drop and how best I can prepare for my next attempt?
My DI & Verbal sections went as expected, and I am fine with just getting an 80-82 on quant, as my other sections (especially verbal) are quite strong.
