Congratulations on the 705! After a year and a half of squeezing study sessions into early mornings, late evenings, and weekends while holding down a demanding full-time job, getting to that score is a real accomplishment, and I'm glad you didn't walk away when you were that close to giving up.

What stands out to me in your story is what changed inside those three months. You'd already put in an enormous amount of time before you ever opened the course, so the issue was never effort or hours. The issue was that the effort wasn't being aimed at the right things. Once your study became systematic, with every topic covered in order, weaknesses targeted directly, and accuracy tracked as you went, those same limited weekend and early-morning hours started producing results that a year and a half of harder-to-direct work hadn't.

That's the lesson I'd want other readers to take from this, especially the ones sitting at 595 and wondering whether they're capable of more. You almost certainly are. But more hours of the same approach usually isn't the answer. The students who break through a wall are the ones who figure out exactly what's holding the score back and attack those specific weaknesses with focus, rather than piling volume on top of an approach that's already stalled.

One thing I'll add for the readers, so nobody walks away with the wrong expectation. Your jump from 595 to 705 in three months was efficient, but it isn't the standard path for everyone. The size of the jump depends on where you're starting and how deep the gaps run. For some, three focused months does it. For others with deeper content gaps, the same disciplined approach takes longer. The principle holds either way: targeted, intentional study beats more of the same.

Thank you for sharing this, and for the kind words. Enjoy the application season ahead. You earned the shot at it.

The 1.5-Year Struggle My GMAT journey was a long and exhausting one. I started out studying with a private tutor for a year and a half. Balancing test prep with the intense demands of working full time was grueling. I was squeezing in study sessions on the weekends, early in the mornings, and late into the evenings. Despite the massive time investment and the private tutoring, I hit a wall. I took an official mock exam and scored a 595. I felt incredibly weak on the test material, completely defeated, and I was genuinely about to give up on my dream of pursuing an MBA in the US.

The Turning Point Right as I was ready to throw in the towel, my MBA consultant recommended I try Target Test Prep. She had heard great things from her other clients, so I decided to take a leap of faith and give it a try. It changed everything.

The TTP Experience From day one, TTP was an amazing platform. What I loved most was how it allowed me to specifically train on my weaknesses while making sure I systematically covered and practiced all the related materials. I didn't have to guess what I needed to study; the platform just guided me.

For 3 intense months, I committed fully to the TTP course. Because of my job, I was still on my grueling schedule—studying only on weekends, early mornings, and late evenings. But this time, every hour felt productive and efficient. The digital course was perfectly structured for someone trying to maximize limited study windows while working full time.

Results & Test Day After finishing the TTP course and grinding through most of the practice tests, I took my first official simulation and scored a 675. That was a huge confidence boost. Two weeks later, I sat for the actual exam and scored a 705.
TTP’s efficient system and structured curriculum were the absolute keys to achieving my 705. That score was the final puzzle piece I needed to make my dream of attending a US MBA program a reality.

Final Thoughts To anyone out there who feels stuck, exhausted by balancing a demanding career with studying, or ready to give up on their target score: don't. A change in strategy and the right platform can make all the difference. Trust the TTP process, stay consistent with whatever hours you can find in your day, and you will see the results.
