Hi everybody! I haven't posted a lot on this forum, but I've been reading so much! This site has turned out to be the best resource I have got to prepare for the test!
I took the test this morning: when the monitor showed the result, I couldn’t believe my eyes. 760 was far beyond my expectations!
I’m an Italian student at Genoa Public University, 23 years old, no work experience. I took the exam because I want to apply for a PhD. With 760, I think I will try and apply for the top ten EU and US universities.
Now I’m waiting for the official report to know about my AWA: I don’t think I’ll get an high score (as you can see, we Italians have always some problems with English... well, no, it’s just me. I have some problems!). However, I sort of understand that AWA doesn’t matter too much, does it?
I’ve been studying for two months, just in the weekends because I didn’t want to fall behind with my exams. I’ve used two books: Cracking the GMAT (princeton review) and the Official Guide 11th edition. The former has been very useful, the latter simply indispensable.
I hope my (little) debrief will help people find motivation and keep trying!
