Unless you were scoring in the mid-to-high 40's in the verbal in GMATPrep, your score next time would not rise without great effort. Your GMAT score of 730 would not count against you in any program, so you'd be better off concentrating on your essays.

IF you had time to spare, you might want to do it again, after posting 100 contributions to the verbal forum.

I am indebted to this site for my moderately good score. I started preparing for the test in July in right earnest but did nothing else than solving the challenge problems. Did not have time to spare from my work. Anyway, I took GMAT on 2nd Aug and to my surprise got a score of 730. Definitely not outstanding but given the amount of time I had put in I was satisfied. In fact I could not prepare at all for the Verbal and it was here that I failed miserably.

730 96 %ile

Q50 95 %ile
V39 88 %ile.

I once again express my gratitude to all the contributors on this site.

DFOTM,

Respectfully, I have to disagree. That is an INCREDIBLE Score!!!

I would hazard to say most business schools are concerned more about Quant than Verbal. Your verbal is high enough at 88%ile that I don't think it hurts you. Just my $.02!

That's an awesome score! 96%? Congrats! Don't even think about taking it again, and work on your application! You'll get into any good school you put your mind to! =)

Thanks a lot to all for making it crystal clear for me. I am not taking the test again. I love this site and feel proud to be a part of it. Guys are all great. Long live the Club. Would keep coming and doing my bit whenever possible. In fact, this has become an addiction of sorts now.

Bye and take care all.
