WOOHOO!!! (does happy dance!) Congrats anon! Another GMATClubber defeating the GMAT Monster! :) And more people to come panic and stress with us in B-school applications (I managed to procrastinate enough today by reading all the 2007-er's application stories. If only one can write about how good of a procrastinator they are! ;)

Interesting with the overall score. I wonder why that is...

A big congrats...ignore the last half of the PM from earlier today. You answered my question. Where are you applying?

I noticed the score differences too. I wonder if the scoring model has decimals after the score...ie 48.4 and 47.6 all round to 48 but in the overall score the 48.4 gets a little bump. Just a thought.

If you ever looked at how the old paper tests were scored you can see how people can get different scores even with the same Q and V scores. Someone can bo on the high side of the 50Q and someone else can be on the low side...both get 50s but one gets a large amount when they calculate the over all score.

There is nothing unusual about the scoring. Its just a quirk of how its set up. Anyways don't worry about it 710 is a score that is high enough to get you into any school. Now you don't have to worry about the GMAT anymore.

Hey, don't downlplay your score! You are in the 9Xth percentile, and that's among people who already have their undergrad degrees. You are competing against a very intelligent bunch of people, so if making it into the 9X percentile zone is not CRUSHING the GMAT, then what is? :-D

I just wanted to say congratulations on your score! I can relate with your health scare since this year marks 5 years cancer free for me... and in March in the middle of my studying, I got a recurrence scare and put EVERYTHING on hold... just now I am going back into it full force since I am still cancer free and the scare was false. EITHER way, I guess my point is, congrats on both of your 'wins' :). My goal is 700+ so I better get there too! :)

Along the same line, I've seen 50/39 scored at 730 and 50/38 scored at 730.
