Just got back from the test center and the score hasnt sunk in yet 
Brief background- gave GMAT for the first time in the first week of August and scored 720 (Q50 V37) but felt I had underperformed. I asked a lot of people and a lot of them suggested against a retake but I believed that I could do better. So took a date for today (just outside the 31 day window) and took a week off and then started my prep again.
Differences between GMAT 1 and 2: I dont think I "learnt" anything new over the last month but just practiced a lot of different types of questions. Referred back to the verbal notes and Manhattan SC a lot. The reason I felt that I did bad on my first take was bad time management. I dont think I was focussed in my Verbal section at all and the score showed.
Test Experience: Awa- was better than the last time Q started out with a couple of very easy questions and then I got a DS question that stumped me a bit. I finally was able to solve it and move on to the next but then realized that my answer was wrong. It was probably the 5th question and I was shaken up. The stupid mistake was in the back of mind and it did slow me down for a while. I think I had around 17 questions and only around 25 minutes left- way behind time. I stopped double checking my answers and was able to finish the section with a couple of mins to spare.
Verbal: Frankly-I found the questions to be much easier this time around than the last. SC was quite easy- the RC's much more readable and the CR's were tougher towards the end- with a lot of questions that seemed to have more than 1 answer right.
At the end of the test- I felt I did pretty well- and was expecting between 720 and 750, depending on how much that question in Q hurt me. I was genuinely shocked to see 760 and even more shocked to see the 51 in Q. So here is the answer to the myth- questions in the first 10 DO NOT matter more

I did not use anything specific for number properties. I dont think I spent enough time on Q as such- have an engineering background, so Q was not that difficult.
Having said that- I did take all the MGMAT tests and I think their tests are awesome. The tests are tough but they do improve your speed- and their explanations are amazing. Did learn a few things there.
