Hey everyone, longtime lurker here. I first took the test in January, 2006 and scored a 490. I reached this score after taking a PR class. Needless to say, I was dejected after spending $1200 and stepped away from the GMAT for awhile. My prep for that exam included the PR materials and the entire OG 11.
Today I took the exam and scored a 600 (Q45, V28), after 3 months of somewhat consistent studying (2 months on and off studying and more consistent daily stuying this month).

Final Thoughts
GMATPrep is the most accurate indicator as I never scored higher than 45 in any of my practice CATs. The big mystery for me is verbal, as I scored much lower than any of my practice cats. Looking back, I think I spent too much time on the reading comprehension passages because the topics were really dry (science). I also was having difficulty with some of the SC questions because a lot of them were like the more difficult ones found in GMATPrep.
Based on my prep thus far, what study plan do you suggest I follow for the next month if I'm going to take the GMAT on 12/28 and also need to devote time to writing essays for one school? The deadline for the school I want to apply to is in early January, and there are 2 required essays in the application. My target score is 650+. I think I would've scored a 650 if I maintained a V34 along with my Q45.
Thanks!
