Well I am not really thrilled but not crying. I did better, but not good enough.

560 (Q30 - 30%tile, V37 - 82%tile)

Better than the 530 the 1st time and 410the second time, but jeez this is getting old, fast. Timing was definitely an issue.. spent too long on problems. I did answer all of the Q but the last 4 were rushed. Also I had LOTS of DS.. like more than the other two tests. Maybe even 1/2 or more than half.. DS after DS.. Tiring...
It also seemed like I knew the concepts, but the way the questions were set up was nothing I had encountered. Like I have circles and coordinate planes but when the question is a part of a circle with a square in it on a coordinate plane and it is a DS question.. I spent a good 4 minutes on it. &%$@*!

So I am going to sneak in one more take before I put off hopes of 2008 applications.. And looks like i can focus on half the test since my verbal is ok, I guess. Not sure what else to do.

As for a plan I haven't come up with a concrete one. Gmat club challenges..a stop watch run though the books I have (i.e. GMAT Og 11, Gmat Green Book Quant, MGMAT series) . But feeling a little indifferent about it right now.

Now I am just betting on the idea "everyone has a different path" so I am going to be some story like "I know this chick that took the GMAT 4 times but still got into Wharton!" right? :)

mediamindy,

How did you study for verbal? For quant, OG 11 and GMATPrep helps. It's important to truly understand the concepts before worrying about timing. Hobbit has a pretty good post in the Math forum that gives great advice on how to improve your Q score depending on your current level. I'm scheduled to take the GMAT for the 3rd time at the end of December, so I'd like to know your verbal approach, in addtion to the advice that gmatblackbelt gave me and nervousgmat's sticky.

Yes, some more effort on Quant can push you to lower/mid 600 hundreds. Definitely practice the challenges once you feel ok with the math concepts. They are lot tough than GMAT questions, but, will help you improve your nerve. Try to get 50% of the questions right and spend time reading the explanations and on the posts. Also, don't completely neglect verbal, practice some questions atleast once a week to help you keep focussed.
