Hi folks

I am trying to take a stab at GMAT for the second time, I took the GMAT in july 2006 and scored a disappointing 620 (Q 42, V 34) being an engineering major I felt sick getting a 67 percentile in Quant. However I thought the Quant questions were way too tough than what I have seen in KAPLAN or GMAC tests.

Anyways planning to take the test again in 2 months, hope thats enough I prepared for 6 months last time and screwed it big time.

My target is anything over 700, so help me God :)

Here is my plan, do OG 11 and difficult questions in OG 10
Do manhattan SC and CR/RC
Considering the GMAT club Tests and GMAC tests

Any other suggestions?

This is my perspective participating in the forums

I feel the questions posted are from some GMAT practice exam which I could be tackling in the coming month or so. This sometimes discourages me as I could know the answer when I take the test myself and my practice GMAT score wouldn't reflect my probable score.

Again this is just my point of view.

I haven't taken the test yet...but coming from someone whose studying with a double digit number of GMAT books and 1000CR, SC and RC the best advice I can give you is this:

1. Participate in the forums. Who cares if you see some of the questions from the GMATPrep test? You're studying to do well on the real deal, inflating or deflating a score on a practice test doesn't matter at all. It's the big test you're preparing for. Besides, you should take one of the GMATPrep tests before you do too much more studying anyway.

2. Do the GMAT Club Challenges. Best. Quant. Practice. Ever....PERIOD.

3. MGMAT Practice tests and books are the best out there IMO.
