Just took the GMAT and scored 710 (93%) - Q 44 (72%) , V 42 (95%)

Obviously, I am pretty happy. Though I would have expected the Q and V % to be swapped. I scored 790 on my Quant GRE and 750 on the Analytic portion. Go figure...


Tests:

Kaplan Diag - 700
Princeton review CAT1 - 590
GMATPrep1 - 730 (Q - 48 , V - 42)
GMATPrep2 - 700 (Q - 49 , V - 36 )

How I prepared :

2-3 months of preparation. Intense in the last 2-3 weeks. Did most of the Quant OG 11. That was super helpful. Used Kaplan 800 which I found useful especially for the verbal portion. Math was easier than on the GMAT. GMATPrep is golden and very useful. I actually had a quant question on the real GMAT that was in the OG! I could not believe it and smiled (it did not help my quant score though :) )


Anyway, will answer questions and post more when i have relaxed!

I've heard GRE Q is much easier than GMAt Q. Your score seems to validate that rumor. But an excellent score dude!

I've taken both as well: 780 GRE Quant and 48 GMAT Quant. My opinion is that the difficulty of the problem solving portion of both tests is very similar. The difference is the data sufficiency, which makes the GMAT slightly trickier.
