hey guys, i just took my 2nd attempt this morning, my score was lower than my first, i got a 380.
i have been studying for 2 months, and i don't know what happened. there must be something that i'm doing wrong here
i'm gonna take it again after after a month.
can anyone give me some advise on how to raise my score?

but don't give up, if you are serious.
You can beat the GMAT, it has been done repeatedly and so can you.
practice, practice & practice ^ practice.
I am preparing
for the exam and am learning a lot time from these forums.
The magic seems to be practice, try to pick an approach, there are lots outlined on this forum, and follow it.
From my understanding, GMAT doesn't test your IQ, it tests your basics under pressure, so cover your basics, and practice.
Take easy on the exam day, believe in your selves.
for quant, start with ARCO, covers basics.
for SC, manhattan is gooooood(again from the 700+ guys). In general Manhattan books appear to be good.
Cover OG, it's a must and better if you can cover it more than once. (Again, forums say, you can get to mid 600's).
Avoid McGraw Hill book for GMAT.

I am doing the above and my practice scores are hovering around 600.
get the gmat practice from mba.com and try it more than once. (I have read people taking it more than 6 times)

I would strongly, strongly recommend taking a prep course or getting a tutor. To do well on the GMAT, you need to master two things: the fundamentals for quant and verbal (know your math formulas and your grammar rules), and test-taking strategies. More specifically, GMAT-test taking strategies. If you are scoring a 380 you likely need a lot of help with both. It would be hard to raise that score on your own if you've already done lots of practice.
I would do the Princeton Review course. They have a math boot camp as part of the course and they will work with you free as much as you need (well, within reason; they're not going to totally tutor you for free) outside of the class time. They are really great about that.
