I was in the same boat as you. I took a Kaplan practice test and scored 570 and was completely depressed since I was shooting for over 700. I think I just stopped myself from kicking a wall, but couldn't myself from eating quite a bit of ice cream. I've scored between 690 & 730 on the MGMAT & GMATPrep tests, so I don't think it's representative. Part of it I think is just what kind of mood you are in when you take the test. If I'm tired the score is lower, not surprising. Speaking of, I just started my new schedule of waking up at 6 in the morning in preparation for my test in a month. I work about 5 miles from work and usually roll out of bed around 8 and go right to work, so this is killing me

If you're lazy, are you sure b-school is for you? ;-)

Seriously, though, while some b-schools aren't that rigorous, it's quite a lot of work, so if you just can't get motivated to tackle the GMAT, you might want to rethink it. Granted, the GMAT sucks, but the first year of b-school classes aren't any more exciting than the GMAT, so think carefully about that!
