Hello,

I took the GMAT last week and scored only in the 68th percentile for quant. I am hoping to raise my score to parallel my verbal score which was in the 90th percentile.

I took a Manhattan GMAT course and completed almost all of the recommended practice problems. I was not very successful at many of these problems. Also, I took all of the Manhattan GMAT practice tests.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I should improve my quant score? I am considering getting a private tutor but I would also like other opinions.

Hi nafisa,

I'd recommend doing the GMATClub tests for quant. Your quant will definitely go up. Also try to hone in on your weak areas.

Thanks for your reply buffdaddy. I just purchased the GMAT club tests and I am hoping to reach out to you soon letting you know how dramatically my score has increased :)

Hi buffdaddy.

When would you consider GMATClub tests appropriate? I'm not exactly sure, but a few people recommend to wait until one reaches a quant level of 40-plus. Do you agree with this?

Hi,
One thing you may find useful is going through the GMAT explanations is google (khanacademy) (I can't post links)

All the OG 11 problems are explaned in a compilation of various videos - its very helpful, comprehensive, and useful.
