hey all,
I'm trying to figure out how the whole error log thing works.
I THOUGHT that you would do problems separately, like on other pieces of paper or whatever, and then when you go check your answers at the end, whatever question you answered wrong, you'd write it in a separate error log along with the explanation and a strategy on how to tackle that kind of question in the future.
I've been reading some threads, and it seems like it might be a different approach than I thought (or maybe that's just for verbal).
Do you:
create colums in your answer log so that all your "letter" answers are listed in there, with a note about how sure you are of the answer, etc?
Please share some tips on how you used your error log most efficiently.

That’s what I do for SC (don’t know if it is the most efficient way though
):
I write down the entire sentence (as it was given), then the option that I have chosen (the wrong one), and then the correct one. And then the explanation why one was wrong and the other correct. I usually write the explanation with my own words, because for me, just listing the rule (e.g., ‘S-V’ or ‘modifiers’) is not enough.
For math, I keep the list with the problems I liked (the 'good' ones), which I know I could possibly do wrong - even if I did them correct during practice test.

I ended up creating an excel sheet so far for the verbal portion
with columns listing for each kind of problem (SC, RC, CR)
and then my answer, the correct answer, how long it took me to do it (not sure about that column... especially if i'm doing a set... but maybe it could work if I find myself stuck on one and end up working on it for more than the alloted time)
then: reason for my mistake (if i have it wrong)
as well as the explanation and where from which book I got the problem.
i'll see how it goes with this one.
