Late last year, I got 700 and took a break a while. Now I am again trying to shoot for higher score...but can't really get it. Most mock test results show around 700 (recent ones are 690 and 710, GMATprep) despite a few months of work, not a full time work though. Break-down of the score is, math 48 ~ 49, verbal 37 ~ 40. IN verbal, no specific trend in sub-sections, meaning sometimes RC, sometimes SC or CR is the worst.
At this moment, what should be your suggestion for me? What should be done for getting at least 2 more correct answers in the test? What specific test tactics(?) and / or preparations should I build and keep for the test if I want higher than 700 score? Thanks for your tips in advance.

I think the 'easiest' verbal part to improve is the sentence correction. With enough practice, one can break down the sentences quickly without much thought and improve his probabilty of getting the correct answer. CR and RC are a little more difficult as the abilities for those are harder to 'train' for than sentence correction questions because it tests higher logic.

I think the CR stuff can be improved easily as well. Not as easily as SC, but easily. Get the PowerScore CR Bible. It helps you analyze the type of argument made and how best to approach the answers. I use the OG11 books (all three), MGMAT SC Guide, and PowerScore CR Bible. I improved my Verbal score from a 38 to a 42 when I took the exam the second time.
