I believe V45 = 99%.

Scoring is based on percentiles, not raw scores.
Thus, anything over V45 will not add too much to your score.

Great score.

It's interesting to see that Pelihu's score of 780 (50q/51v) has a much higher V, yet same overall. And he took his test almost 2 years ago. I guess there isn't much difference between a 51v and a 46v.

Nope. If his quant was lower, a higher verbal would offset it (a higher 99%ile that is). It might be moot when both sections are at high levels, but it most definitely does make a difference.

As you will learn, that is why scoring in the higher 99%ile in verbal, say a 50 vs a 45 will yield a higher total score if the quant is lower. And thus, it is better to be a verbal specialist than a quant specialist.

Great score! With a 51Q, you need at least a 48-49V to get a 790. With a 780, you are in the same league as most MGAT instructors!

Congratulations for awesome score. You are a math genius. 35 out of 37 in GMATclub challenge-25 is superb. Last time I attempted the challenge-25 I made 19 correct out of 37 and my percentile was (8.7%). I have to idea how to boost my quant. Any suggestions from you how to improve my quant will be highly appreciated.
Good luck with your Essay and application.

Wow! Super-score! Congrats!!!
Esp. impressed by verbal - 46 for non-native speaker is not a joke...
Where are you applying, if it's not a secret?

hm... interesting, I also got Q50, V46 and my overall was a 770. I took it pretty recently (8/2/08) as well. is it normal to have different overall scores with the same breakdown? 10 points is not much, but 780 certainly sounds better than 770!

LOL, as I said, I am VERY HAPPY about my total score, and especially about my verbal score. This is just a matter of ego, not to score 51 on quant as I know I could have done it. And it would have given me 99% for every part ^^. But as I said as well: I wouldn't have had a best overall score if I had scored Q51, I am not making any kind of "big deal" about that ;).

Awesome score! I'm not surprised. You've been great on these boards. Good luck on the apps. Whare are you applying?

I am going for Insead only in round 1 and if I am not offered a spot there, I could apply to H/S/W and Sloan for round 2. Hopefully not ! :)

I guess this is just a matter of rounded numbers.

Maybe my raw scores translate to 775.1 and yours to 774.9 ...

I also got a Q50 V46 with a 770. Weird. Oh well, I guess I can't complain...
