I took the GMAT today and scored a miserable 480.
My GMATprep and highest mgmat scores were:
gmatprep 1: 640
gmatprep 2: 670
mgmat 2: 610
mgmat 3: 640
what happened?? I didnt feel nervous during the test at all
Is the real GMAT getting harder? I feel totally depressed and discouraged right now
all advice is welcomed

real gmat is getting harder, unfortunately
thanks to excessive demand for the mba programme worldwide
speaking of wordlwide, btw, there is a slow but solid tendency of many overseas schools to scrap gmat altogether...some studies showed that (especially for outside of US) there is no significantly positive correlation between the gmat score and mba marks
the argument is that gmat is not a sufficient reflection of abilities in respect of the mba programme
many schools are adopting alternative in-house learning diagnostic tests instead
I can bet that in 7-10 years time, most of the top schools in EU will drop the test alltogether

Sorry to hear that..!! its just a bad day.. don't give up.. I saw people with 480 first time... eventually cracked 700 mark later..
let us know the split score..
