Thank you for comments,
I would like to apply best in europe 1 year MBA programs, where approx. 80% addmited have over 650 - so I had probably no choice, but retake. I think I have some assets (Ph.D. in biochemistry) but I would not take a chance and apply with 620. The problem is, that I strongly believe that verbal part on the actual exam I had was much harder than in GMATPrep tool. I hope I am wrong and just had a bad day.

I would appreciate any comments on that.

Thanks
Radek

I had the same feeling after i took the real test. My GPrep scores were quite decent, but in the real test, I had no clue what happened in the verbal part and ended up with a 31. This time around, I am practicing differently
- For CR I am using Powerscore
- For RC, I will try active reading and summarizing after each para

Hope I do better this time.

I suggest retaking. Most second round deadlines aren't until early-mid January anyway, so you could put up a new score in time. Most schools will accept the unofficial report until the official is ready. For earlier deadlines, I've heard that some schools will let you send your first test score with a note that another test score is coming. You could call and ask if they'll accept a late GMAT score or just send the new score late and hope they consider it.

Good luck!

You are strong in Q, so you must improve your verbal skils. I had the same problem and I took a 41 on V, after 32 4 months ago. For sentence correction use MGMAT book, but also spidey notes and, on the forum, you will find Gaythara notes, i,m not sure that it is the corect name, but is something like this. But the secret for CR and RC is to rephrase. Practice this and you will not have problems with CR and RC. Other tips: practice on forum and two or three weeks before the exam practice on GMATPrep. On the other hand, ia had the same problem: i had 720-760 on GMATPrep and only 670 in the official. I had 41 in Q and 41 in V. Good luck.

I would say you need to re take it.

IMD or INSEAD will be hard with that score. but you never know.
IE will be a good option, I think that score would be good enough.

welcome to hell

the same happens to me, but in my case I think I got right in verbal the same that I failed in math... see my signature

IMO you should retake, if you have reached those scores during your training, you're able to score that on the real thing.

Unfortunately, you have to wait 31 days...

All the best for your next time
