When I sat for the GMAT in late July, I was told the break time had changed to 8 minutes from 10. No big deal. I packed some emergency stuff like, a RedBull, eyedrops for contacts, etc..and placed it in the locker. TOwards the end on Quant one of my contacts started to irritate me. I dealt with the annoying comfort issue and figured that I would fix in a few minutes at the break.
I indicated on the screen that I would take the break, the 8 minutes started, I raised my hand, turned around and the proctor was not at her position. I sat there for 2 minutes till she came back..I was a little annoyed..but.. No problem..I still have 6 minutes to get my contact stuff....
She gives me the key to the locker, and it break in the lock! I try to fix for a few minutes, they she calls the maintenance dept...I wait till my break time is up, then make the decision to go back in, not wanting to waste any of the 75 minutes...it was sort or pain in the a... to have to deal with this, especially since comfort is a big part to doing well. I did well in V, so it turned out OK......just thought I would share that with others, so that they can expect things with the test center, with your body to not perform up to normal....and be mentally prepared to deal
