So I took the GMAT for the first time today--not happy with the results! I got behind in verbal and had to guess towards the end. I thought I only had one question left, but with about 10 seconds left I realized I had 4 left to answer!!!! For some reason I was thinking that there were 37 verbal questions.
My question is how much was I penalized for guessing 38, 39, 40 and failing to answer 41? Is this score representative of what I should have scored? I felt much more confident about the verbal section than I did about quant.
Here are my previous practice test scores:
GMATprep: 450 (23Q, 28V)
MGMAT 1: 590 (41Q, 31V)
MGMAT 2: 540 (33Q, 32V)
MGMAT 3: 530 (34Q, 29V)
MGMAT 4: 540 (31Q, 34V)
Official Score (today): 460 (33Q, 21V) <-----ouch
Any tips on where to go from here? If the 21V is accurate from today, obviously that's where i need to start, but racing through to the end and considering my previous verbal scores leads me to believe that, time permitting, I would have scored higher. If that is the case, it's hard for me to pick where I need to focus. I'm really only looking to get over 600 so any tips are appreciated. Thanks!
