Hello Guys,
I took the GMAT today for the first time, my score 550 (Q:40, V:27).
Started working on the GMAT since february,
but had time only to work on the quantitative part; thought my good level in TOEFL would have helped me for the verbal part, I was wrong, I messed up!
I am planning in taking it again in 3 months; so I will have more time to work on the verbal part and improve the quantitative too.
My aim is to have a score above 700.
I have faith, when I read how people where able to improve their original scores

Just a short note about TOEFL-GMAT verbal correlation. It's actually more of a warning for future GMAT takers. TOEFL is a test for rather basic language proficiency. It's not really indicative of your potential performance on verbal GMAT. You need to specifically prepare for GMAT, as the structure is quite different and the difficulty level of questions is much higher. So don't stay complacent with your high TOEFL score, and take your time on acing the verbal GMAT.
