The first thing I did when I didn't do well on my first exam is I put it behind me. The next thing you should do is come up with a new plan of attack. I am not sure what materials you used, but based on your score you should probably focus on fundamentals. The best way to get the fundamentals down is by using the
Manhattan GMAT. If you drill hard on the fundamentals I guarantee you can raise your score. I was in a similar boat as you the first time I took it, but i retooled my strategy and used new materials. The result was a 120 point increase in my score. If I can raise my score by 120 anyone can. Good Luck.
