Congrats on your 710..I was on the same boat like 4 months ago. I scored a 690 on my first attempt. After a years hiatus and over 4 months of preparation I took my GMAT again. I scored a 700 inspite of scoring above 750 on all my practice tests. I fought with the question " To retake or not" for about a month and finally decided to play with the cards I have been dealt with.

From my research I found out that the differnece between a 710 and a 730/740 is negligible. I think you will be fine if you are in the middle 80% of the GMAT scores in your target schools. In my opinion you shouldn't retake unless you are highly confident of scoring a 770+ which would help you out with scholarships in your schools

Good point - at this time the only difference will be a potential scholarship or pride of having a 99th percentile. Admission most likely wont' care for the difference.
