At the outset, I will admit that I was woefully underprepared for the GMAT and I tend to ramble a bit too much.
A bit about myself - A commerce graduate, I have an MBA from a b-school in India [class of 2005 - inaugural batch]. The last time I had attempted the CAT, I had scored 90%ile with Math/ Quant dragging my scores down. Currently, I am a BA - belong to that oversubscribed domain - Indian IT male, 6 years of work ex [pre and post combined] that has taken me across the world - to all continents except South America and the Poles.
Due to horrific pressure at work, in the last week of May, I decided to resign. On June 01, I logged onto the mba.com and decided to take a slot on July 12. So essentially, in the middle of my separation process, a prospective job search, I decided to take the GMAT. biiig mistake!
on June 01, I also purchased OG12 and later that night some googling led me to GMATClub. I signed up for the test series as well. I had given myself typically 40 days to prepare for the exam.
on June 02, I attempted the GMATPrep 01 - on a wing and a prayer, no prep, nothing.
I scored 630 [Q13 wrong V12 wrong] don’t remember the exact scores
I buckled down and started ploughing through the GMATClub test series, enduring savaging upon savaging. I realized that no matter what, I could not solve co-ordinate geometry and modular arithmetic, even simple formulaic problems like find the slope of the line were beyond me.
From July 01 - 12, I was on leave from office on account of ‘viral fever’ and I continued my preparations in earnest [at least I think]
Every weekend, I took one GMATPrep, cleaned the logs and retook it a fortnight later
GMATPrep01 630 [Q13 wrong V12 wrong]
GMATPrep02 650
GMATPrep01 670
GMATPrep02 660
I did not attempt any material from other providers like Manhattan, Kaplan, PR etc. [should’ve, could’ve, would’ve

]
the test was scheduled at 14:00 and I reached the test center at 13:30. completed all the formalities and started the test on time.
AWAs passed without any incident with 50-60 secs. to spare on each inc. proof reading. Took a break.
I kept pace with the clock in my Quant and quite literally clicked my last answer on the dot. I thought it went reasonable, with the exception of the blasted obligatory co-ord geometry induced blackouts. Took a break
Verbal was comfortable by my standards. I finished comfortably with 8 mins. to spare.
clicked through the optional information and clicked ‘Submit my scores’.
610. ****! %ile 63
Quant scaled 35 %ile 50
Verbal scaled 38 %ile 75
man!
now the question is -
do I re-take the GMAT within the next 45 or so days
or
just proceed and apply as if this is a good score and that I can probably impress on my essays
my list of schools to apply to was – IIMA -1 year prog., INSEAD, Said BS, Erasmus RSM and Michigan Ann Arbor [I know... lol

]. Any hope?
any reviews on HEC Paris, Oxbridge and Warwick? Do I stand even a remote chance of being considered anywhere in the listed schools? How much will they laugh on receiving my score?
should I soldier on and apply regardless? or retake the test?
