A lot has been said and advised, so I let myself be brief.
3 attempts in total:
- Summer 2002. 530 (Q-73%, V-19%)
- Summer 2003. 640 (Q-80%, V-69%)
- Autumn 2004. 700 (Q-86%, V-86%)
Studied for 3 weeks with no breaks and days-off for the first attempt. Wrong strategy! If you decide to study intensively for a prolonged period, always have a day or two break for information to settle in your brain. The results struck me like a thunderbolt. It was a real shock.
2 month of intensive studies for the second attempt/ Having passed, thought would never take it again, but!
mid August 2004 learned the 2-by-2 strategy, which worked best for me and I hope will help you. It is simple, yet required my dedication. 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours after work 5-6 days a week for 1,5 months, with a total revision of went through material for the last week. Did not have time to analyze all the quantitative mistakes, thus had only 86% in Q.
Personal thanks to Stolyar and AkamaiBrah, whose clear and concise explanations of maths questions were very handy.
Good luck to every one!
