Hjort, I have a question on what all documents make a Transcript.
I am a foreign student applying for an MBA in the US.
My bachelors degree had 8 semesters and hence I have 8 sets of marks sheets showing course-wise scores. In addition, I have the degree certficate + a rank certificate (since I topped the university)
Should I be providing attested copies of all 8 markcards + 2 certificates. Or will the two certificates be enough?. If I provide only the certificates, then do I need to provide additional documentation to show the nature of course-work ?
The question is really because shipping the entire set is heavy on my purse as my univ is charging close to $50 for each set of 10 documents. I am currently looking at about 5 colleges and so the math makes me wonder if it is really necessary.

The safest route is to contact the admissions office and ask. In general, schools want to see the names of the individuals classes taken and the grade/mark received in each class. Accordingly, the degree certificate and rank certificate would probably be insufficient. Some schools accept the reports from academic transcription services but this would cost money as well.
