Thanks for the link. While I know all of us here can read charts, I am a little annoyed by the way that career journal presents these data. For instance, MIT and Carnegie appear to have absurdly low salaries since the first $80,000 dollars or so of the salary are excluded from the figure.

This looks like a perfectly reasonable starting point. You might want to look at Dartmouth as well.

Well, what should be the correct time to give GMAT and apply for aforementioned B-Schools?
I have already mentioned the plan incubating in my mind.

I think a reasonable schedule would be-

1) Take GMAT in early 2006, repeat if necessary to post a high score

2) In 2006 and early 2007 visit the schools that interest you, start considering LOR writers and essay contents

3) Set portfolio by mid 2007

4) Autumn 2007, apply to schools
