I`m a bit coтагыув with Kellog`s essays
All other elite schools mark the length of essays as a max number of words.
But Kellog says, for example, "2 or 3 double spaced paragraphs"

For God`s sake, each paragraph can consist of many sentences! 2, 3, 5, 10, 20??? I cannot define optimal length!

Could you please advice?

Yes, 100%

3 large essays - 1-2 pages double spaced
3 small essays - 2-3 paragraphs doublespaced

Kellog is the only single place wih such a requirement

My mistake- I thought you were talking about the long essays. I would shoot for around 3/4 of a page for each of the mini-essays

Hjort, with which font size?
Usual 500/1000 words requirement fits good with 12
But it can not be enough to emphasize all the information I want to share with adcom

Times 12 is pretty common. To state the obvious, the length guidelines are meant to encourage you to prioritize. In many cases, this is a good thing since its focuses the reader's attention on the most important information. Nonetheless, since the guidelines are so vague, you can use more space on the topics that portray you in the best light.
