Hello Hjort,
General question-
If you have to address multiple questions in a single essay is it necessary to answer the questions within the essay in the same order that it was asked? (here is an example: What are your short-term and long-term career goals? How do your professional experiences relate to these goals? Why do you want an MBA from Berkeley at this point in your career? )
I was even thinking of weaving a story and combining all three answers into one story but that seems to be extremely difficult and risky. But if i could answer the questions in reverse order, I think my essay will be much better.

1) Is it necessary to follow the order? No, I've seen successful essays that deviate from the order.
2) Is it generally a good idea to follow the order of presentation? Yes, most applicants seem to answer the questions in order and reading essays in a different order can be distracting. I have found it better just to follow the given order unless a different order results in a significantly better essay. However, if you change the order it must be absolutely clear which question you are answering in each portion of your essay.
