Kellogg's essays ask for "one to two pages double-spaced". I just want to confirm it means double line spacing. So I should go to Format=>Paragraph=> double line spacing. Is it correct?

Format=>Paragraph=> double line spacing.

This works before the document is created. If u have already written the essay with single spacing , u need to manually create a space between each line

oz,

I might be misunderstanding your post, but the command sequence you mentioned will change the line spacing of an already written essay so that you do not need to do it manually.
