In order of presitge of business schools: Georgetown, BU, GW.
Georgetown is best known for international business;it is one of the top schools in the US in this. The parent university has strong name recognition throughout the country.
BU's traditional strengths have been MIS and Health Care. As expected, the Northeast dominates placements. Both Boston College and Boston University are good schools in a somewhat awkward position- they must compete with two ultra elite (HBS and MIT) and a nearby Elite Cluster (Dartmouth) school.
George Washington I would describe as a business school that is on the verge of name brand recognition. It was ranked among the top 100 schools by FT. The parent university could probably be included in the top 100 or so undergrad institutions in the US (including research and liberal arts colleges). As I recall, its greatest strengths are international business and matters involving the public/govt sector. As expected, students tend to take positions in the Mid-Atlntc region.
If you are interested in international business or the public/private intersection, the DC schools are certainly worth considering further.
