Hi Hjort,
I have been reading several posts on this forum for the past six months, but this is my first post. I hope you could help me make the best possible choice. I'm international student from Africa with an F-1 visa, and I am expected to graduate from a regionally-respectable college in Ohio in May 2006. I want to pursue masters in Public Policy/Public Administration a year after I graduate. The following is my profile:
Expected GPA: 3.95 (Top 3 in all my classes)
GMAT: 720
Age: 25
Work Experience: 0
Internship: 3 months unpaid internship with an international non-profit organization.
Extra-curricular Activities:
1. Volunteered for Habitat for Humanity for 4yrs (President for 1 yr)
2. Resident Assistant for 1 yr.
3. Played NCCA soccer for 4 years.
4. Member, Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE).
Schools Targetd, in order of preference:
Columbia
Harvard (just giving it a try)
Georgetown
Future goals: To work for the United Nations.
Also, will my position as coming from Africa enhance/diminish my chances? I'll really appreciate your valuable opinion.
