Hello, I have had a few interviews for government positions. Will the ultraelite and elite programs look down on a Govt position in comparison to a private sector job?

More than the source of funding (e.g. tax dollars, private donations, private customers) I would be concerned with the link between that job and your long term career interests. For instance, a job at a major regulator can give valuable insight in the operation of a heavily regulated industry.
