It is certainly worth a try. Like in many other negotiation situations, a higher offer from a competitor can help persuade schools to give you more money.
Just want to know, will this by any chance affect my current admissions offer from the higher school. Also is it advisable to mention in the request about the scholarship received from other schools to make ur case stronger, like mentioning the name the of the school and the offer given by them to negotiate harder.
eg. is it ok to mention the following:
At another Graduate School of Business where I have been offered admission, I have been selected to receive a Research Assistantship which will come in the form of tuition remission that will assume the cost of 14 courses for the two years valued at $39816 at the 2006-2007 tuition rates. In lieu of this fact, I wish to be considered for an additional scholarship at your school. Your school is my first choice and an additional scholarship will make it easier for me take a decision.
