hi hjort,
Pls guide me with your extensive knowledge........ i am an engineering final year student in INDIA, planning to take GMAT. after my engg., i plan 2 do a self started business (enterpreneurship!!) for about 1.5-2 years, in the meanwhile...i plan 2 prepare for GMAT.
what i want 2 know that is ------ how do "ultra elite" & elite schools view such types of "self experience"?....... good, bad or dont consider the experience.......
i have been very good academically in my 10th and 12th standards......adn am avg. in my engg.....good in xtra-co-curricular activities.............
pls give me an honest picture of my chances of getting into top 20 worldwide............thanx in advance........

Being an entrepreneur can certainly be a positive experience for your application. Starting your own business is a good way to show initiative and leadership. On the other hand, if your only work experience is as a self-employed individual you might encounter some trouble if you later intend to enter the "conventional" workforce. Thus, there is an element of employment risk that should be kept in mind.

if i intend to carry on with my business even after my mba, then is there any problem with getting into the b-schools........ (not considering the job sought after the mba)......... ???
