Question...I graduated in 2003 from a small college in the south with a double major in business administration and computer science. (Two destinct degrees..not an MIS major)..
My question is...will this help mitigate a poor undgrade gpa (2.98?)...
I had 3.5 my senior year though...
The reason why i'm asking is because I may not be able to leverage a great GMAT score...i'm currently scoring in the 630 to 640 range...
I went into a rotational program at a large regional bank in the south and have been doing project management in for the past two years...
I'm interested in schools in the 30 to 35 range...such as georgia tech, maryland, etc...
Chances?

There seem to be two schools of thought on this one:
1) By attaining two degrees the student has undertaken a difficult courseload that justifies a somewhat lower GPA
2) Undistinguished performance in two degree programs does not add up to distinguished performance in one progran and suggests that the student was not able to manage his/her time appropriately
Since you had a higher GPA in the final year and are aiming for NE/NEF schools I do not believe that the GPA will be fatal. Have you taken any coursework since college?

I have not taken any course work, I've been thinking about taking classess at a local university in after january, for the spring term.. Unfortunately, I want to apply sooner...probably this november...
Could an admission be contingent upon doing well in these courses?
