Hi Hjort,
I wanted to know if it was worth while to bend the truth on the application essays in terms of why MBA? What do you want to do after MBA? type question.
I plan to use the MBA to get into I-Banking, however I have financial services experience in audit and risk roles (all top tier firms) and would consider my profile to suit consulting more then I banking. Even with a top MBA I think getting into I-Banking will be difficult, given my background but I still want to try. However in saying that if I write my essay to that effect the adcomm may consider that my post mba career prospects not to be strong given my preferred carrer path and chose to reject my application.
So my question is, as it would be easier (not easy) to obtain a job in consulting or the same area (could put the management spin on it) should I write my essays to that effect in order to get admitted?
Hope that is clear......not sure it is.
Thanks for any help.
