1. How does the class selection process go for electives at business schools?
2. I've read 'bidding' mentioned on a few B-school websites, what's that all about, how does it work? Is it about picking electives?
3. Are you bound to take certain electives based upon a selected concentration? For example, say I matriculated as a student who wanted to focus on Management, would I be bound to the core courses in that concentration or could I decide to switch my concentration to Marketing after a few months?
4. Do you have to declare a concentration at the start of B-school?

3. It should be noted that many MBA programs do not require students to select a concentration or major.
A concentration or major typically requires that students complete a small number of mandatory courses and then requires students to choose a set number of courses from a list of courses. Even if one decides to change to a different concentration during her MBA, the courses that she has already taken could still be counted as general electives against the degree requirement.
