hi,
I have a few queries regarding Letter of recommendation.
1) I will not be able to ask my current manager to give me a letter of recommendation as it does not go down well with him that I am trying to do MBA and leave my company.Can i cite this reason to adcom (for not geting LOR from current manager) if they ask me abt it ? will it be acceptable to them ?
2) In one of my previous companies, my manager there too have left the company as the company has now been folded, but I am still in touch with my manager .Can I give his letter of recommendation in my applications but he (my manager) would not have a letter head of our previous company?
pls somebody do help me out in the dilemma I am in.

Isn't that the case a lot of candidates? This is the real reason - then why not communicate it to AdCom if they ask about it? It isn't something you should lie about. However, think about other scenarios - if you anyway want to do MBA (and are applying to enough safety schools), why do you fear telling your manager?

How does the Letter Head matter? Do you even need one? Why do you think AdCom will insist on a letter head of a company that your manager no longer works for?
Trust AdCom to be logical people - they won't put illogical demands on you.
