Isn't Columbia just as, if not more selective than Chicago?

Not that I necessarily doubt its veracity, but I am curious where you got this feedback regarding NYU, Cornell, and Yale. It should be noted, however, that the 90th percentile age at NYU is on the low side.

Rochester/Simon is an excellent choice, but I would jettison it if you view it as a safety school.

Have you looked at Georgetown?

Dukes makes a good point- Chicago and Columbia are both highly selective. If one of these two ultra elites is a challenge, the other would probably be as well.
