Thanks for the feedback.
Yes, I should have provided some more detail.
I am 28, Indian female. I did my MS in Engineering Psychology from SUNY, Buffalo. I work at Infosys, India (NASDAQ:INFY) and head a team of 2. Though it is the IT industry I am not a techie. I work as a Usability Engineer (Computer Psychology).

I know you advice me to do my GMAT again(670 - 88 percentile) but I can't. Its my verbal score that did me in. I am assuming the 2 papers that I have published in international journals will make up for it. I have presented my work at international conferences. I wish to get into Columbia, Duke or Carnegie Mellon. I have been a leader throughout my life. I was the games captain and headed the athletic team in school. I was also captain of my house (system where a school is divided into 4 houses).

I wanted to apply for Fall 07, simply because I'm getting old and can't wait another year;) I also heard that it helps being female. If you do not think I stand a chance in the Fall 07 admission process what specific areas do I need to work on (other than the GMAT score) for Fall 08?

The usability field is relatively new in India (about 10 yrs). Its been around for 60 yrs in the US. I would like to do an MBA to manage/direct this field better in India. This would include bridging cultural issues in the field. Hence an international MBA with general management should help.

The reason I chose the 3 schools
- represents all tiers (ultra-elite, elite, near-elite)
- suits my needs (Columbia-perfect fit, CMU- high class diversity Fuqua-represents women in business)

Could you expand on your goals? In what context would you manage/direct this field better? An MNC? A new venture?

Picking a spread of clusters makes sense, although Tepper is grouped among the trans elites. A three school portfolio is rather small.

Yes, the portfolio was limited so I have expanded it based on the clusters (ones in bold).

My exact plans to manage/direct are not in place. I am interested but not limited to starting a usability group in an MNC.
