Hi Hjort,
I am an Indian IT analyst who is working as a Business Analyst in USA for last 3 years (I have total 6 yrs work ex , Age 30). I wanted to persue FT MBA from a Transelite (if Elite cluster is not achievable by me). I wanted to work in a Tech company (Apple, google, Yahoo etc) after my MBA. I really don't want to be an IB. As currently I am working in a Car Finance company (Tech Div), I can also think about having a career in Finance if Tech option is not fulfilled. I found that Carnegi Mellon (Tapper) is a good school for me. I wanted to stay near a city as my wife also works with me and she would like to support me during my MBA days.
I don't find any stong reasons other than GMAT score in my expected score range (700-710), for applying to the schools mentioned below
I want to apply to following schools : Kelly (They have a major in IT Driven Business Innovative) , UNC (LeaderShip Training program), UCLA (I live in LA) , UT- Austine (No Reason), Emory (It is near Atlanta).
I am driven by BW ranking and GMAT score for shorlisting 10 schools for me and then use my own IT / City filter.
Please let me know should I apply any other school which would be better suited for me.
I would love to join UCB for its location near Silicon Valley. But I am not sure if I am upto that or not.
