Hey,
Had given my GMAT last year. My score was 680 (PS: 49; VA: 34; AWA: 5.5).
Currently working with a Management Consulting company in India as a Senior Consultant - Financial & Performance Management, have been working here since Feb '06 (3 yrs of overall work experience). I wanted to give my GMAT so that I can score better but not getting sufficient time to prepare. Wanted to get some advice from you regarding my chances with this score & the kind of experience that I have.
Currently my profile in this company is of an Accounts Head, also looking after business development activities for the firm. This is to generate new business & develop a new service line for our company.
Consulting Experience - Summary
• More than 1.3 year of work experience of Consulting in Financial & Performance Management service line, and presently working with a management consulting firm in India
• Team lead for 2 full cycle Business Intelligence implementation experiences across projects and industry solutions.
• Team member for 2 full cycle Management Consulting projects i.e. Business Transformation & Performance Optimization.
• Head for developing Business Objects product offering & customer base; responsible for Business Development, Practice Management & Technology aspects.
• Expertise on Basic Consulting practices, SAP BIW 3.5 and overall Project Management.
Professional Experience – Summary
• Business Development Manager in an IT company for 3 months, handling Corporate Marketing & Product Management role for their suite of products.
• Worked for 1 years as Senior Officer with a leading Financial Organization in the Corporate Product & Technology team, developing innovative banking products & managing alternate channels for banking.
Kindly review my profile & kindly advice whether you would advice to give GMAT again to get a better score or not. Also what kind of schools I can apply to. Will I get a fair chance after applying to these schools. My list has a combination of safe & aspirational schools, kindly give your review where do I stand a chance.
