Average=$$\frac{(40+1)+(40+2)+(40+1)+(40+7)+(40+4)+(40-3)+(40+9)}{7}=\frac{7*40+21}{7}=\frac{7(40+3)}{7}=43$$

=> (41+42+41+47+44+37+49) / 7
=> 43 (b)
