Distance between two co-ordinate points = √[(x2−x1)^2+(y2−y1)^2]

Distance between A & B = √[(1−(-1))^2+(3−5)^2] = √[(1+1)^2+(−2)^2] = √[4+4] = 2√2

Ans: C.

Base of triangle = 2

|$$x_2 - x_1| =|1 -(-1)| = 2$$

Height of triangle = 2

|$$y_2 - y_1| = |5 - 3| = 2$$

It's an isosceles right triangle (45-45-90) with side length ratio of $$x: x: x\sqrt{2}$$

Sides = $$2$$
Hypotenuse =
distance between A and B = $$2\sqrt{2}$$
