Now the answer should be C

Statement 1 and 2 together give us the common value of n, which is 23. Hence, C

Sorry, edited the question. Try now.

1) n is any number <=23
can be 19,20,...23-------> not suff.
2) n is any number >=23
can be 23,24,25....------->not suff..

Combining we have a common value 23 in both statements
thus n=23

What is the value of the integer n?

(1) \(n \leq 23\)

(2) \(23 \leq n\)

Statement (i) = not sufficient
n can be of any value from 23,23....0...-1.....-23
So choices D&A are eliminated

Statement(ii) = not sufficient
n can be of any value, stating from n=23 , 24.............. + infinity . So no definite value from this equation also.
Option B is also eliminated.

Combining statement (i) & (ii), we are getting n= 23(one definite value).

Hence option C should be the answer

\(n \leq 23\) ; INSUFFICIENT ; n may be 23 or less

From Statement 2:

\(n \geq 23\) ; INSUFFICIENT; n may be 23 or more

Combining both

\(n = 23\)

Hence \(n = 23\) \((C)\)

From (1)

Set of Numbers will be { 1 , 2 , 3.........21 , 22 , 23 }

From (2)

Set of Numbers will be { 23 , 24 , 25 ............}

Thus we can not answer the question with statement 1 or statement 2 alone , however we can answer this statement with both the statements...

So, Answer will be (C) BOTH statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are sufficient to answer the question asked, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient to answer the question asked.
